Let's Timer Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information LetsTimer ("the app", "we") collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. Let's Timer is a focus-timer app with a cat companion, solo and shared ("Shared Focus") focus sessions, streak tracking, and an optional Premium subscription.
Information We Collect
Account information. Signing in uses Google Sign-In. We receive your Google display name, email address, profile photo URL, and a unique account identifier. The Solo Focus timer works fully without signing in — an account is only needed for Shared Focus, Stats, Rank, Focus Sounds, Packages, and syncing progress across devices.
Activity and progress data. Once signed in, we store your focus session history: completed session counts, focus minutes per day, streaks, session categories (e.g. Study, Deep Work), and your selected pet, room, and sound. This is what powers your streak calendar and stats.
Shared Focus data. Creating or joining a Shared Focus room stores the room's invite code, host, member list, and session settings. Other members of the same room can see your display name and chosen pet while the room is active — this is inherent to the shared-session feature.
Subscription data. If you subscribe to Premium, we store which plan you have, its status, and a transaction identifier from Google Play Billing. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play — we never see or store your payment card details.
Data kept only on your device. A local copy of your stats is cached on-device for offline use. Custom sound files you import are stored locally and are never uploaded anywhere.
We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not access your device's contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
How We Use This Information
- To provide the app's core features — timers, streaks, stats, Shared Focus rooms, and Premium entitlements
- To sync your progress and selections across devices when signed in
- To display your name and chosen pet to other members of a Shared Focus room you join
- To identify your account when you contact us for support
How We Share Information
We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. Data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore), which acts as our infrastructure provider and processes data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments. As noted above, your display name and chosen pet are visible to other members while you're in the same Shared Focus room.
Data Storage & Security
Account and progress data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure with access rules restricting each account to its own data. No security measure is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your Choices & Data Deletion
You can sign out at any time from the Profile screen, which stops further syncing but keeps your local data on-device for offline use. To request deletion of your account data from our systems, email us at tumiss81@gmail.com from the email associated with your account, and we'll delete it.
Children's Privacy
LetsTimer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Signing in requires a Google Account, which has its own age requirements set by Google.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
